Police on Wednesday are investigating the reported theft of gold jewellery worth thousands of euros from a residence in the village of Kofinou, in Larnaca.
According to the police, a woman reported the theft around 6pm on Tuesday, saying it had occurred between 8.30 and 11.30am on the same day, while she had been absent from home.
The complainant stated that the jewellery, worth €10,000, had been stolen from her bedroom cupboard. Police were unable to find any physical evidence of a break-in and the house does possess CCTV or an alarm system.
The case is under ongoing investigation.
