Woman arrested over Limassol car bombing

Police on Friday arrested a 47-year-old woman in connection with a bomb explosion that destroyed a 78-year-old man’s vehicle in Ayios Athanasios in Limassol in the early hours of Thursday.

According to a police statement, evidence emerged during the investigation implicating the woman, who reportedly had financial disputes with the victim. She was arrested under a court warrant and is currently in custody.

The improvised explosive device completely destroyed the man’s vehicle, with damages estimated at around €5,000.
