The winter of 2023 – 2024 has reached new heights, with an excess of rain of around 10% at the national level compared to the average from 1991 to 2020 in France at the same period. In the fall, the gap was even 30%. The only exception: the Mediterranean region, notably Corsica and Languedoc-Roussillon.
