T + T – Normal size

National leaders who graduated from the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development confirmed to Al Bayan that they learned the art of management and leadership from the school of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him. They have become ambassadors who proudly carry His Highness’s vision and philosophy, which is unique globally in changing the present and shaping the future, and translate it into thought and action in their workplaces. They pointed out that His Highness’s leadership and administrative approach has brought about a qualitative shift in government work in the United Arab Emirates, which has become a role model and beacon for many governments in the region and the world to follow.

Dr. Aisha Al Busmait, an international relations expert at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and a graduate of the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development, Real Government Leaders category, said that the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development is a school that carries the philosophy of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in leadership and anticipating the future. Yesterday, the centre celebrated its graduates 20 years after its establishment and the graduation of many leaders who contributed to making change, many of whom now hold senior positions in various entities, contributing to translating this philosophy and conveying it to their employees. They are proud of their affiliation with His Highness’s school, from which we learned a lot and were fortunate to be affiliated with and graduate from.

Career development

For his part, Rashid Ali Al Ansari, CEO of Al Ansari Financial Services, pointed out that the benefit from the program was very great and contributed to his professional development when he was working in the government sector, and he transferred the essence of this experience to the private sector in which he currently works, from the lessons in the arts of leadership that he learned in the courses of the center, which focuses on developing the administrative and leadership capabilities of members in general.

He added: “One of the lessons that I will never forget and one of the beautiful situations we went through was when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum himself entered the lecture hall and we were honored to learn from His Highness lessons in leadership style and advanced thinking, as His Highness spoke about how to start a project and transform ambition into reality and how to build on it, develop it and make it successful. These lessons were the compass for my success in particular, as I learned from His Highness’s school how to strive to achieve a dream, insist on progress, not look back and make excuses, and work to achieve goals.”

Leadership approach

Reham Karmostaji, Director of the Public Revenue Department at the Department of Finance and a graduate of the Center’s Young Leaders Program, indicated that the program reinforced in her the basics she needs to be a leader in the Dubai government, and taught her three basics in managing teams, change, and projects. These basics are what helped her in her work to develop government revenues, and she transferred her experience to her work team that she leads.

She added: The centre’s programmes focus on the leadership approach whose standards were established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness’s vision, in building people, enhancing capabilities and creating a positive environment that promotes creativity and innovation. Today, the leaders who graduated from the centre are translating His Highness’s vision in promoting the march of Dubai and the Emirates globally.

Team spirit

For his part, Abdullah Hassan Ali Bilal, Director of the Estates and Minors’ Funds Department at Dubai Courts and a graduate of the third batch of the Young Leaders Programme of the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development, said: “The Centre has contributed to graduating new and effective leaders who contribute to strengthening Dubai’s progress and consolidating its global position, especially since the Centre’s programmes contribute to developing the career path of each graduate in the administrative and leadership aspects and managing work teams, and how to develop them and develop the skills of their members in the spirit of one team, which has contributed significantly to refining the skills of the graduate and his work team, through lessons learned from the thinking and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, which relies on providing a positive environment and enhancing productivity as an approach in all fields of work.”
