The United States on Friday imposed tariff increases on billions of dollars of Chinese goods, up to 100% on electric vehicles and 25% on their batteries, and will take effect in two weeks.
The decision by the US Trade Representative’s office came after a comment period on an earlier announcement of the tariffs. US Trade Representative Katherine Tai said the final increases “will target the PRC’s harmful policies and practices that affect American workers and businesses.”
