Von der Leyen said during Business launch European Gulf Summit In Brussels: “We want a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.”
The European Commission added: “We need to make every effort to stop the escalation in the Middle East region.”
On the other hand, von der Leyen stressed that the Gulf countries play a major role in supporting the diversity of energy sources.
For his part, the foreign policy official said: European Union Josep Borrell, Tuesday evening: “We share the same concerns regarding peace and security throughout the region.”
During this summit, Gulf leaders are expected to discuss with their counterparts in the European Union ways to avoid an “all-out war” in the Middle East, according to European diplomats.
