US intelligence officials said on Friday that “influential Russian parties” were behind the video claiming election fraud in Georgia.
They added that the video clip was “fake” and that it was the work of “influential Russian parties.”
And he said Secretary of State of Georgia Brad Ravensburger on Thursday evening said the video was “clearly fake,” and that it was likely the work of Russian hackers “trying to sow discord and chaos on the eve of the election.”
Intelligence officials echoed this finding on Friday, saying that the clip was produced by “influential Russian actors” and that it was part of Moscow’s “broader efforts to raise unfounded doubt about the integrity of the US elections and inflame divisions among Americans.”
