Day three of Vancouver Canucks Training Camp featured a new signing as well as some movement within the practice groups. Saturday was also the final day of the practice groups as the Canucks got prepared for the end-of-camp scrimmage scheduled for tomorrow. Here is a look at some of the biggest storylines from day three here in Pentiction.

Canucks Sign Kevin Lankinen
The biggest story of the day happened off the ice as Vancouver signed goaltender Kevin Lankinen to a one-year, $875,000 contract. Lankinen spent last season with the Nashville Predators, posting an 11-6 record and a .908 save percentage in 24 games. The 29-year-old is expected to join the team on Monday and could feature as early as Tuesday when the Canucks open their preseason schedule against the Seattle Kraken.

Ty Young And Dylan Ferguson Switch Groups
Vancouver made one notable switch among the practice groups on Saturday, promoting replacing Dylan Ferguson with Ty Young in Group B. The promotion to Group B for Young meant he had the opportunity to face shots from J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser and Quinn Hughes rather than the group of prospects that make up Group C. Young, who is projected to make the jump to pro this year, went 23-11-0 with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL last season and ranks sixth all-time for wins in franchise history.

Kirill Kudryavtsev Gets A Shot With Tyler Myers
After receiving a shoutout from Head Coach Rick Tocchet on Friday, Kirill Kudryavtsev found himself on a pairing beside Tyler Myers on Saturday. The 2022 seventh-rounder was noticeable during the Young Stars Classic and was able to continue his strong play into this weekend. Projected to be part of the Abbotsford Canucks this season. Kudryavtsev has a lot of potential and is developing into the steal of the 2022 NHL Draft.
The Canucks wrap up their 2024 Training Camp Sunday with a Blue vs White scrimmage schedule for noon.
