The United States is pushing as hard as it can to get to a diplomatic resolution in Lebanon but cautioned such an agreement required a green light from all parties to the conflict, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said on Monday.
Miller was speaking at a regular news briefing amid signs of a diplomatic breakthrough after a senior Israeli official said Israel’s cabinet was going to meet on Tuesday to discuss and approve a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.
