Update of the guide for agricultural materials and supplies

T + T – Normal size

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has updated the guide for agricultural production materials and supplies included in the service of requesting farmer support materials for the year 2024. The guide includes a list of materials and quantities supported by the ministry that farmers can obtain at half the financial value, the names of companies and suppliers that provide these materials, their regular price in the markets, and the price for farmers after the discount, in addition to details of the components of the products, the country of origin, and their suitability to withstand soil and water salinity, temperatures, and different agricultural conditions.

Technical criteria
The Ministry indicated that the guide aims to encourage farmers contributing to achieving the country’s food security to adopt modern agricultural patterns such as protected agriculture (net houses) and organic agriculture for safe agricultural production, so that production requirements such as seeds and fertilizers are provided according to the best technical standards and at half the financial value for farmers contributing to achieving the country’s food security.

The guide has identified a number of important points that companies supplying materials must adhere to. The guide stressed the need for companies supplying agricultural production support materials to deliver all materials purchased by farmers from the ministry to the farm or to a location close to the farm site on the public road, and at the time agreed upon in the contract. In the event of any delay in the delivery of materials, the farmer can contact the area’s management and inform them of this.

Receiving materials
The guide indicated that if the farmer is unable to receive the materials within the specified period for a compelling reason, he must inform the region’s management to take the necessary measures in coordination with the company. If any defect or fault appears in the received material or if the farmer has any complaint, the farmer must contact the region’s management immediately and inform them of this.

The guide stressed that the farmer must ensure that he receives the same approved materials listed in the guide, and in the event of any comments on the service, he must contact the ministry’s call center through its various channels.
