On October 31, the UAE will host a new edition of the “African Dialogue Forum – The Africa DebateOrganized by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Invest Africa Foundation – Invest Africa“It is a trade network that aims to promote trade and investment in the African continent.
This edition will be held in Dubai, providing a prominent platform to explore and benefit from emerging economic, trade and investment opportunities along the trade and investment corridor between the UAE, the Gulf region and Africa.
The UAE-Africa Dialogue Forum will bring together global companies, private and public investment bodies, thought leaders and policymakers in a series of discussions on strengthening trade and investment relations between the UAE and Africa in 2024 and beyond. The UAE’s hosting of this edition comes within the framework of growing economic and trade relations with African countries, especially as it is the largest investor in Africa among the GCC countries, as the forum has witnessed the holding of ten previous successful editions in London.
“The UAE has long recognised the strategic importance of Africa as a key trade and investment partner. Through our collaboration with InvestAfrica, we seek to enhance communication with African markets and explore new opportunities for economic cooperation. We look forward to welcoming over 300 industry leaders to strengthen partnerships between the UAE and Africa for mutual growth,” said His Excellency Juma Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, noting that the Africa Dialogue Forum represents a prominent platform for promoting investment initiatives that support the continent’s progress.
“Our partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy reflects our commitment to facilitating effective trade links and promoting mutual trade and investment between the UAE and Africa,” said Chantelle Carrington, CEO of Invest Africa.
“The Africa-UAE Dialogue Forum will highlight investment opportunities and provide a strong and effective platform for dialogue and cooperation between stakeholders, especially as the UAE is the fourth largest global investor in Africa, and we are excited to work with our partners in the UAE government to strengthen trade ties across the continent, especially at this critical stage of its growth story,” she added.
The forum will include a series of discussion sessions that focus on enhancing cooperation opportunities in many economic sectors, including financial services, logistics services, and improving the supply chain, in addition to energy, infrastructure, information and communications technology, and digital transformation, and encouraging investors and businessmen to expand and invest in these vital sectors.
