Dubai will host the sixth edition of the International Expo for People of Determination, whose activities will run from October 7 to 9 at the Dubai World Trade Center in Halls (6 – 7 – 8), with the participation of about 250 international exhibitors, brands, and rehabilitation centers from 50 countries around the world, showcasing their vision. in rehabilitation, making it a global platform that serves more than 50 million people with disabilities living in countries of the region.

His Highness added: The UAE is moving steadily on the path to building an inclusive society that meets the needs and aspirations of people of determination and making them active members of their society, thanks to the vision of our wise government and the integration of the efforts of the public and private sectors, and their efforts to share minds, ideas and initiatives, and to enhance joint cooperation among them, in order to build a sustainable future. It meets the aspirations of people of determination. The rapid progress in technology and innovations contributes to empowering about 1.3 billion people with disabilities around the world at the present time, improving the quality of life of people of determination and helping them move around and live more independently, thanks to the tremendous improvements in assistive technologies in the field of rehabilitation, telemedicine, and friendly infrastructure. Awareness campaign
In its current session, the exhibition includes many conferences, activities and workshops that contribute to launching the largest awareness campaign on accessible travel and the most prominent practices in the fields of autism spectrum and inclusion in the educational and pedagogical sector, rehabilitation, health care, travel and accessible tourism.
One of the most prominent activities is a workshop organized by IATA on “Innovations in Accessibility and Flying Air Travel.” The exhibition will also host a workshop organized by the Dubai Youth Council on accessible travel and tourism, with the participation of senior officials from relevant government and private agencies, to talk about the most prominent efforts made by Dubai to become the best tourist destination for people with disabilities.
It will also host a conference on “Applied Behavior Analysis for Children on the Autism Spectrum,” which is considered the first of its kind in the UAE, with the participation of distinguished experts with the aim of shedding light on the best international practices in this field, in addition to a conference on integration in the field of education and other workshops on rehabilitation. and health care.

Suleiman added: Motorized wheelchairs, eye-tracking systems, and 3D-printed prosthetics have become fairly common, in addition to text-to-speech programs that have proven to be of great benefit to people with disabilities.
