The project aims to enhance energy efficiency in industrial facilities in The UAEAnd reduce energy demand, in line with the UAE’s strategic goals and its efforts to achieve sustainability and promote the green economy.
The integrative project consists of two phases, the first of which is linked to the outcomes of the Federal Regulations for Energy Management in Industrial Establishments, the experimental application of which has now begun and will be followed by mandatory application. It aims to support raising energy efficiency and sustainability in the industrial sector in the country and to promote investment in the best available technologies.
The second stage relates to accessing all factories in the country, including those located in free economic zones and specialized areas, through the “Industrial Registry” platform, which allows manufacturers to provide and update the facility’s industrial data on an annual basis, “data for a full financial year” within the industrial registry.
The industrial registry includes all industrial establishments and companies that practice manufacturing activities in the UAE.
