The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in a statement, that “this decision contradicts the provisions of the Charter United Nations international norms, and will exacerbate the critical and deteriorating humanitarian situation,” stressing “the need for UNRWA and other United Nations organizations and agencies to play their role in delivering humanitarian aid to those in need, urgently, safely, and without any obstacles.”
She stressed “the need to support all regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in… The Middle East Moving forward, as well as putting an end to the illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.”
It also reaffirmed “the UAE’s commitment to promoting peace and justice and preserving the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.”
