The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) published modifications related to the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), among which it is worth noting that priority be given to the air operations of the presidential aircraft and high-ranking military commanders, as well as the National Guard, at civil airfields.
The document was published this Tuesday, January 24, in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) and modifies the “Agreement by which the technical-administrative provisions of an aeronautical nature of the AFAC”.
A second modification published by the SICT indicates that the AFAC will be responsible for the activities of the civil aviation medicine system.
According to a statement from the SICT, the AFAC it must issue the psychophysical requirements on the study of the state of health of aeronautical technical personnel.
The dependency explained that the general direction of protection and preventive medicine of the sport will continue with the medical evaluations to the personnel, but under the supervision of the AFAC.
The agency will also have the power to suspend or revoke the medical evaluation document, in accordance with the guidelines.
“The AFAC will designate the medical examiners and evaluators in accordance with their professional competencies,” says the document published in the DOF.
However, the measure will be until the AFAC has the necessary medical units so that it can carry out the evaluations and that allow it to guarantee the evaluation, certification and permanent medical surveillance.
Both modifications entered into force on Tuesday, January 24, the day of their publication in the DOF.
