As temperatures around the island hit a low point on Sunday the first snow of the season fell on the mountains.
At around 1pm a flurry of snow fell on Troodos, Chionistra and even as far down as Prodromos.
The temperature on Troodos at the time was 4C while overnight it is expected to fall to -2C.
Head of the Troodos police Yiota Georgiou said no problems had been caused.
A yellow weather warning for high winds remains in place across the island until midnight on Sunday.
Unusually cold temperatures are forecast to return nearer to normal as of Wednesday.
