The first annual Haley Forum, organised by the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research in cooperation with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, kicked off today in Abu Dhabi.
The two-day forum, held under the theme “A Turbulent World Order: Reading Concepts, Formation, and Reconstruction,” addresses pressing global issues, with a special focus on the Middle East region. It brings together thought leaders, international experts, diplomats, and academics to discuss the most prominent challenges and transformations that are reshaping our world.
The first Haley Forum discusses three main axes, which are a fundamental pillar for understanding the changing global scene: the first axis is “geopolitical,” the second is “geoeconomic,” and the third is “geotechnological.”
The Forum reviews the latest analyses and strategic trends in the geopolitical, geoeconomic and geotechnological fields, and provides recommendations on public policies based on the analyses and discussions witnessed in its sessions.
The forum is named after the historic Hili area in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, in celebration of the region’s rich heritage as a cultural and civilizational meeting place dating back to the Bronze and Iron Ages. Inspired by this rich heritage, the forum brings together a group of thought leaders and experts from around the world, representing a wide range of unique visions and perspectives on the strategic issues facing the world.
