Passengers have been warned that sailings at Calais have been stopped due to an incident requiring the emergency services.
Travel reports say the temporary halt this morning has affected all three companies operating the Dover-Calais route; P&O Ferries, DFDS and Irish Ferries.
They add that this has happened due to emergency services dealing with an incident.
The nature of the incident is not yet known but DFDS sailings to Dunkerque are not affected.
A tweet from P&O Ferries Travel Updates at 7.45am said: “Please be advised that sailings from Calais port are currently paused. We will make sure to keep you updated but we hope that sailings will resume shortly.”
