A 16-year-old boy died in a motorcycle crash in the Limassol district village of Pano Polemidia on Friday afternoon.
The boy, named as Charalambos Pissarides, was riding the motorcycle through the village when he mounted a kerb, collided with a traffic sign, and then came to a final stop when he collided with a tree.
He was taken to the Limassol general hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing, with the motorcycle’s current location not yet known.
The police said the motorcycle “appears to have been moved to an unknown location” and that “efforts are being made to locate it”.
