Taxisnet blocked for users from abroad due to security measures

Cyprus’ online tax portal, Taxisnet, is now unavailable for users attempting to access it from abroad due to security measures being taken to deal with a wave of cyber attacks which have hit the island’s online infrastructure.

As such, the tax department announced on Wednesday that in view of the October 31 deadline for the submission of individual income statements, people will be able to submit their individual income statements after the deadline without incurring a fine “if the system is not restored soon”.
