Semar seizes more than 650 kilos of drugs in the port of Veracruz

The Secretary of the Navy (Semar) of Mexico seized more than 600 kilos of drugs inside the port area, announced the governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, through their social networks.

“We continue working on security issues. On this occasion, the financial blow to drug distributors is confirmed due to the seizure of 536 KG of marijuana and 143.7 kilograms of cocaine by the Navy (Semar) in operations inside the Port of Veracruz. It was seized for destruction in coordination with the FGR. Congratulations”.

In a subsequent statement, the state government indicated that in compliance with the National Public Security Strategythe Semar seized marijuana and cocaine in the port of Veracruz.

He added that for his part, this year, the Secretary of Public Security of Veracruz reported the seizure of one million 376 thousand 898 doses of marijuana, 82 thousand 560 doses of cocaine and 38 thousand 27 doses of crystal, in addition to 4 thousand 403 psychotropic pills; In this way, it complies with eradicating the transfer and distribution of harmful substances that affect the population.
