The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Jason Zucker to a one-year, $5 million contract this off-season. While this move did not generate a lot of buzz, it has certainly been a great one for Buffalo early on.

After not getting on the scoresheet in his first three games, Zucker has recorded three goals and 10 points over his last 10 games. With this, he has become one of the Sabres’ most important offensive contributors early on.
With this start, it is absolutely fair to state that Zucker is exceeding expectations big time. Only Tage Thompson, JJ Peterka, and Alex Tuch have more points than Zucker on the Sabres at this season’s juncture. He also has produced more offense than notable Sabres like Rasmus Dahkin, Dylan Cozens, and Jack Quinn.
It will now be very fascinating to see how Zucker performs from here. So far, he has been an outstanding addition to the Sabres.
