Russia thwarts an attempted “cross-border incursion” from Ukraine

The district governor reported Bryansk Alexander Bogomaz said that an “armed group” tried, on Sunday, to penetrate the border between Ukraine And the Russian Bryansk region, but it was defeated.”

Bogomaz did not clarify whether Ukrainian soldiers carried out the alleged attack, but he said on Sunday evening that the situation was “stable and under control” by Russian army.

There was no acknowledgment of this attack or immediate reaction from Ukrainian officials.

Bryansk region is located next to the province KurskUkraine launched a surprise attack on August 6, which alarmed the Kremlin and constituted the largest attack on Russia since World War Second.

Two mysterious groups: the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Free Russia Corps, had claimed responsibility for previous incursions into the Belgorod and Bryansk regions of Russia.

The Russian president warned Vladimir PutinOn Sunday, the West again decided to allow Kiev to use long-range weapons supplies to attack targets deep inside Russia.

In an interview with Russian state television, Putin considered that, “Since Ukraine cannot carry out such attacks without the assistance of officers from NATO countries and their satellite data, Russia will consider this as Western interference in the war.”

Putin added that the Russian Ministry of Defense is preparing various scenarios to respond to this issue, without revealing any details.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky renewed his call for Western allies to assist in air defense operations, following another week of intense Russian air attacks on his country.

And he wrote Zelensky On the social networking site “X”, the last week alone witnessed more than 1,100 attacks using slide bombs and more than 560 attacks using drones.

Zelensky indicated that the Russians also fired about 20 missiles, including cruise missiles, at the country.
