Russia announces the recapture of two towns in the Kursk region

The Russian army announced on Monday that it had regained control of the towns of Uspenovka and Borki in Russia’s Kursk region from Ukraine.

Russia’s RIA news agency quoted the Defense Ministry as saying that its forces had regained control of the towns of Uspenovka and Borki in Russia’s Kursk region from Ukraine.

Ukraine has taken control of part of the Kursk region in an incursion into Russian territory that began on August 6.

Ukraine confirms that the death toll of the Russian army has risen to 642,420 soldiers
