An Israeli strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Monday evening targeted senior Hezbollah leader Ali Karaki, commander of the southern front, a Lebanese security source told Reuters.
The agency quoted the security source as saying, “Karki’s fate is unknown.”
The Israeli military said it carried out a “targeted strike.”
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that “an Israeli drone targeted one of Hezbollah’s leaders” after an Israeli raid on Friday killed the commander of the Radwan Force, the party’s elite unit, along with a number of the force’s leaders.
