RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been charged after an investigation conducted by a multi-county taskforce.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, in November the Invictus Task Force, a joint effort of Randolph, Alamance, Davidson, and Forsyth Counties, the State Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security, began investigating after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
As a result of that investigation, Carter Paul Fields, 30, was charged with seven counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was taken into custody on Tuesday and given a $10,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
