Emergency services were called to the coast after a woman was found dead in the sea.
Police and paramedics were spotted close to the harbour, near the Grand Burstin hotel in Folkestone, shortly before 4pm today (October 11).
Officers have confirmed a body been found in the water near Marine Parade.
A spokesman for the force said: “Officers attended and a woman from the area was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
