Police carried out a series of raids on Monday in the context of an operation to clamp down on organised crime, including last month’s fire at the Nicosia racecourse.
A police press office spokesman told the Cyprus Mail that the operation included investigations into cases of arson.
Three people were arrested for various crimes, while eight others had warrants pending for unpaid fines.
The fire at the racecourse broke out on September 25 in a generator and a fuel supply tank at the horse racing track facilities in Ayios Dhometios, Nicosia.
