ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Photographs show the chaotic aftermath of a crash at a busy Asheboro intersection on Thursday morning.
The crash took place at the intersection of NC 42 and Patton Avenue.
Eric Hoffman, chief of the East Side Fire Department, says that the intersection is often difficult to cross in the morning due to how the sun gets into a driver’s eyes.
The crash involved a white SUV that was waiting to turn left on Patton and a blue car that did not see the white SUV and ran up underneath it.
Photos from the scene show the aftermath of the white SUV resting on top of the blue car that ran underneath it.
Officials say that no one was injured as a result of the crash.
The crash took place just one block away from US 64/Dixie Drive.
The road was closed from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
