WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on Tuesday evening in Winston-Salem, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was hit around 5:45 p.m. on Interstate-40 near Peters Creek Parkway. Troopers say the crash involved a single vehicle.
Investigators believe the person who was hit was trying to cross the highway.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The crash is still under investigation.
