RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Handsome Brook Farms issued a voluntary recall Wednesday of the Organic Pasture-Raised 24-count eggs sold under the Kirkland Signature brand.
According to the company’s press release, 10,800 retail cartons of the double dozen of eggs have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
The units that are up for recall were distributed to 25 Costco stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee between Nov. 22 and Nov. 26. They have an expiration date of Jan. 05, 2025, with UPC # 9661910680.
Costco asks members to review the expiration date and UPC number, as well as return them to a local Costco for a full refund.
Handsome Brook Farms said the recall was initiated after the units of eggs not intended for retail distribution ended up being packaged and distributed anyway.
