Today, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, opens the twenty-sixth session of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), which is organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy The President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, under the slogan “At the forefront of sustainability,” over three days from October 1 to 3, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
During the exhibition, 2,800 companies from 65 countries will showcase their latest technologies, innovations and projects in the fields of energy, water, green development, sustainability, decarbonisation, green mobility, green hydrogen, cybersecurity, digitization, sustainable cities, green buildings and other related sectors.
The exhibition includes 21 international pavilions from all over the world. The twenty-sixth session of WETEX includes the Green Mobility Zone, the Future of Energy Prospects Forum, and the Health and Safety Zone.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Authority is organizing a large number of specialized seminars and discussion sessions with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists from around the world, on the most important topics that shape the features of a more sustainable future.
The exhibition also witnesses the holding of many meetings between companies, government and private institutions, and investors through the business meetings service (B2B) and the meetings service between companies and government agencies (B2G).
“WETEX” is held in conjunction with the tenth session of the World Green Economy Summit, which will be held on October 2 and 3, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Center, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him. It is organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the World Green Economy Organization.
The summit discusses a number of main topics, including decarbonization and carbon neutrality goals; Advancing clean energy; climate finance; circular economy; policies and regulatory frameworks; Using technology to combat climate change; The role of youth in climate action; And food and water.
