(WGHP) — The Piedmont will have one more day with above normal temperatures, then the chill arrives.
Mostly cloudy on Wednesday with morning temperatures in the upper 50s and highs in the upper 60s. We could have a few morning showers followed by mostly cloudy skies. A few evening showers are possible as a strong cold front moves across the Piedmont. Chance of rain 30%.
Behind the cold front, the Piedmont will feel the chill. Thursday will be cloudy at times with morning temperatures in the upper 30s and highs in the lower 50s. Wind gusts could be as high as 30 mph. Our afternoon wind chill or feels like temperatures will be in the low to middle 40s.
Friday, partly cloudy and chilly with lows near freezing and afternoon highs near 50 degrees. Strong winds will continue to blow across the Piedmont. So at times, our afternoon wind chill or feels like temperatures will be in the lower 40s.
Saturday, not as windy. Under partly to mostly sunny skies, our lows will be in the middle 30s and highs in the middle 50s.
