November to welcome third Limassol International Book Fair

November to welcome third Limassol International Book Fair

It is almost time for the annual gathering for book lovers, authors, publishers and bibliophiles. The third edition of the Limassol International Book Fair returns upgraded in 2024, taking over the Lanitis Carob Mill in Limassol from November 22 to 24.

The Book Fair will kick off on November 22 with the Limassol International Book Fair Conference, a full-day international professional conference. A unique event for the Cypriot book sector, it will once again serve as a meeting point for book professionals, with participants from Cyprus, Greece, Europe and the Arab world, offering new opportunities for information, inspiration, discussion and networking.

This year the conference will expand the dialogue on the role of national libraries and the Cyprus Library, highlighting the importance of Cypriot libraries in promoting digital skills and sustainable development goals. It will also touch on the development of skills in the Cypriot book sector with a focus on digital marketing and artificial intelligence, explore opportunities in Europe and the Arab world and highlight the impact of women in the book industry.

The conference will also host 30 speakers and panel participants from Cyprus, Greece, Belgium, the UK, Germany and Egypt. Plenty more will happen as the festival collaborates with the Cyprus Association of Librarians – Information Scientists and the Cyprus Creative Europe Office.

In addition, the event will feature the first B2B Space, a dedicated area for professional meetings within the Book Fair as well as the Limassol Networking Meetings on November 23 for informal meetings and discussions with guest book professionals. As always, a large book and all things book-related market will be put on welcoming the wider public.
