Three incumbent northern Chester County Democrats in the greater Pottstown/Phoenixville area all won reelection Tuesday night.
Incumbent Democrat Paul Friel easily won reelection to the 26th District House seat he won for the first time two years ago.
According to unofficial results from the Chester County voting results web site, Friel won 19,614 votes.
His Republican challenger, Shawn Blickley collected 15,348 votes, according to the site.
Reached Tuesday night, Friel said “I appreciate the support and the opportunity to return to Harrisburg and finish the work we started. It’s a privilege to represent this community and an honor to work with an amazing staff who care about the people we serve.”
The 26th District includes East Coventry, East Nantmeal, East Pikeland, East Vincent, North Coventry, South Coventry, Warwick, West Nantmeal and the boroughs of Elverson, Phoenixville and Spring City.
Also winning reelection, was Danielle Friel-Otten, who will represent the 155th District for another two years.
According to the county website, she won 18,466 votes, or 55.06 percent, to the 10,705 collected by Republican challenger Rodney Simon.
The 155th District includes Downingtown, part of Caln Township, East Brandywine Township, West Brandywine Township, Upper Uwchlan Township, Uwchlan Township and Wallace Township.
Melissa Shusterman, will once again represent the 157th District taking 22,158 votes, or 59.34 percent, while her opponent, Republican Regina Mauro, took in 15,124 votes.
The 157th District is comprised of Easttown Township, Schuylkill Township, Tredyffrin Township, and Williston Township.
