Microsoft Outlook, Exchange down worldwide

Microsoft Exchange, Teams Calendar, and Outlook are experiencing a worldwide outage, leaving users unable to view or send emails, with Outlook reportedly “crashing.” Many users reported difficulties across Microsoft’s services, including Exchange Online and Teams.

Microsoft acknowledged the issue, stating, “We have identified a recent change which we believe has resulted in impact.” The company announced via the social media platform X on Monday morning, “We’ve started to revert the change and are investigating what additional actions are required to mitigate the issue.”

When attempting to load Outlook, users encountered an error message reading, “Your request can’t be completed right now.” According to one user on X , “Exchange Online, Teams, Outlook, none of these services are working as expected, can’t get in to see quarantined emails either.”

Mailmeteor, an email marketing platform, confirmed the outage’s global impact, stating, “A service outage is currently affecting Microsoft Outlook. More than 423 reports were made today.”

Additionally, Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions, noted over 800 user reports starting just before 8:40 a.m. CET, highlighting the widespread nature of the outage.
