They’ll try to keep the New York Mets off the board again in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Monday in Los Angeles (4:08 p.m. ET on Fox).
It wasn’t just the Dodgers’ arms that dominated in the 9-0 Game 1 win; the stars at the top of the Los Angeles lineup did the heavy lifting on offense. Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman combined to go 5-for-11 with three walks and five RBI. Enrique Hernández also added two hits and two runs at the bottom of the lineup.
Ryan Brasier (1-0, 4.91 ERA, 3.2 IP in 2024 playoffs) will open for the Dodgers, a role he’s taken on just four other times this year, all in the regular season. Sean Manaea (1-0, 2.25 ERA, 12.0 IP) gets the ball for the Mets.
