“It is a wrong move. And if this represents the right, then the right is also wrong”. To attack the Meloni government on the maneuver is the secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, in an interview with La Stampa in which he puts all the complaints of the unions in public: “They didn’t listen to us. They have not gone to get the money where the money is, this is a maneuver that affects the poorest and increases precariousness by reintroducing vouchers”.
According to Landini, the maneuver “Rewards tax evaders and with the Flat Tax increases the inequity of the tax system and does not intervene on the wage pandemic and does not help those who need to work”. For the secretary of the CGIL, the text approved by the government of Giorgia Meloni “Does not support health care, school and local transport. It does not change the Fornero law. Change the indexation mechanism in place for pensions, without consulting us. It lacks an industrial and energy policy strategy capable of tackling digital and green reconversion”. When asked about the next steps, i.e. a possible street demonstration on the government’s economic policies, Landini specifies: “In the next few days we will propose these assessments to CISL and UIL. We will consider all necessary steps in support of our requests to make the necessary changes.”
