WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been charged a month after a person was shot and killed at a Winston-Salem park, according to police.
Police say they have charged Tony Toribioestrada, 22, with first-degree murder after the shooting death of 19-year-old Reaylie Trinidad Noyola, of Winston-Salem, on Oct. 19.
Toribioestrada was already in custody for a felony robbery charge related to this case.
Police say that they were called to Granville Drive around 8 p.m. on Oct. 19, where they found Noyola in the park “suffering from gunshot wounds.” Noyola died at the scene.
Police said at the time that it did not appear to be a random act of violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
