Parts of a street were cordoned off by police after reports a man threatened to set fire to a house.
Officers arrived at Kingsnorth Road in Ashford after receiving calls about the incident at about 2.15pm.
A cordon was placed around the property in question before a man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Inquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.
