Man arrested in Graham on attempted first-degree murder, shooting warrants after running from officers, police say

GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man with multiple outstanding felony warrants was arrested in Graham on Tuesday, according to a Graham Police Department news release.

Graham officers were dispatched to a call for service about counterfeit money at the Days Inn on Truby Drive.

The responding officer determined that the man responsible for passing the counterfeit money had given a false name.

He ran away when officers tried to detain him. He was then apprehended and identified as Ryan Everett, 38, of Kinston.

Everett was found to have outstanding felony warrants from four separate counties for:

  • two counts of attempted first-degree murder
  • six counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property
  • felony breaking and entering
  • larceny after breaking and entering
  • possession of stolen goods
  • injury to personal property
  • first-degree burglary
  • larceny of a firearm
  • assault on a female
  • attempted uttering

Everett was booked into the Alamance County Detention Center and held without bond.
