A 24-year-old man was arrested on Saturday as part of an investigation of theft from a home, theft of a vehicle, causing a traffic accident and fleeing the scene.
Police said on Friday at around 5pm, the suspect was driving on Athinon avenue in Paphos and under conditions which are being investigated, collided with a car a 29-year-old was driving.
Following the crash, the suspect fled on foot.
Officers who arrived at the scene discovered the car was registered to a 63-year-old woman, who confirmed it was her vehicle but that it had been stolen while it was parked outside her house.
The keys were inside the home, she said.
