A 32-year-old man has been arrested for stealing copper wiring worth €5,260 from a EAC station in Paphos.
An employee from the EAC (Cyprus Electricity Authority) reported a burglary of a copper cable distribution panel, stolen from a station in the Konio area.
After examinations by the police, it was shown that a side window of the substation had been broken into which allowed entry to the perpetrator who removed the copper panel, worth of €5,260.
The examinations showed evidence against a 32-year-old man, who was arrested on remand at 20:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
