M2 delays after five-vehicle crash between Stockbury Roundabout and Hoath Way, Gillingham

Drivers are facing lengthy delays after a pile-up involving at least five vehicles on the M2.

One lane has been closed due to the accident London-bound between Junction 5, at the Stockbury Roundabout, and Junction 4 at Hoath Way in Gillingham.

Traffic is stretching back past the Sittingbourne junction.

One eyewitness said two vans and at least four cars were involved in the collision.

Traffic reporting service Inrix is reporting five cars were involved.

An ambulance has been seen on its way to the scene.
