Former Reading High basketball star and NBA player Lonnie Walker IV will sign with Zalgiris Kaunas of the EuroLeague according to reports released Wednesday.
Zalgiris Kaunas also competes in the Lithuanian Basketball League at the domestic level in addition to international competition in the EuroLeague.
Walker was waived by the Boston Celtics earlier this month after averaging 7.3 points in 16.4 minutes of playing time with the Celtics this preseason.
The deal will include an NBA buyout clause until Feb. 18.
Last season with the Brooklyn Nets, he averaged 9.7 points a game and shot 38% on three-pointers in 58 games.
Over his 322 game career, Walker averaged 9.8 points on 42.2% shooting from the field and 35.6% shooting from three-point range.
