She added: “The Ministry also extended its deep thanks to the governments of the friendly countries participating in these forces, which spared no effort in supporting the UNIFIL mission, whether by sending soldiers or…Peacekeeping forcesOr by providing the necessary logistical and material support to ensure the success of its mission.”
She noted, “These countries are converging with… Lebanon In belief in the principles of the United Nations and its role in promoting international peace and security.”
The Ministry condemned “in the strongest terms Israeli attacks Repeated claims against UNIFIL centers and staff, including a claim Israel evacuate their sites,” considering that “these attacks and actions do not merely represent targeting international forces, but rather constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.”
It may amount to a war crime, and is part of Israel’s policy of refusing to implement the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations, especially Resolution 1701“.
She concluded by saying: “Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates calls on the international community to take a firm stance to support UNIFIL forces and ensure that they continue their work, and not to be exposed to them or threaten their security and safety, and to condemn Israel and force it to immediately stop its hostile practices towards it.”
