UPPER PROVIDENCE — Keystone Sports Construction, a leader in synthetic turf and court construction, has generously donated synthetic turf material and construction services to the Swedesboro-Woolwich Little League in New Jersey after its previous turf was stolen earlier this year.
Swedesboro-Woolwich Little League President Melanie Grubb was devastated when she discovered that the synthetic turf meant to support the league’s young athletes had been stolen from its property in April.
“Our league faced a significant setback when the synthetic turf that supports our young athletes was stolen,” Grubb said. “The loss was not only a financial burden but also a blow to the morale of our community.”
Upon learning of the theft from a FOX29 news article, Dominick Masi, regional sales manager for Keystone Sports Construction, based in Upper Providence, was deeply moved.
Masi initiated a campaign within Keystone Sports to donate high-quality synthetic turf to replace what was stolen.
“It was heartbreaking,” Masi says. “The league is dedicated to helping these kids, often at their own expense. To see them targeted like this was just awful. Synthetic turf is expensive, and we felt compelled to step in and support them. The team agreed it was the right thing to do.”
On May 16, Keystone Sports Construction’s team installed the new synthetic turf at the field, as well as providing the Little League with two brand-new bullpens, courtesy of the Keystone team.
“The support from Keystone Sports Construction goes beyond mere philanthropy,” says Grubb. “We wholeheartedly thank Keystone Sports Construction for their exceptional generosity and community spirit. Their contribution has made a lasting impact on our league and has set a remarkable example of corporate responsibility.”
