Kent Police, HM Coastguard and fire brigade search River Medway in Common Creek Wharf over concern for man’s welfare

Emergency services descended on a section of river last night after concerns were raised for a man.

Kent Police, HM Coastguard and the fire brigade joined forces to search the River Medway in the Common Creek Wharf area of Rochester just before 11pm (Oct 13).

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Officers attended the scene and completed a search along with HM Coastguard and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

“Nobody was located and enquiries are continuing into the report.”
