Kamala Harris is writing her opponent’s campaign ads

Kamala Harris is writing her opponent’s campaign ads

There may not be a more manufactured, less authentic public figure in America than Vice President Kamala Harris, or anyone with worse political instincts.

Plus, there’s substantial evidence she’s not terribly bright.

Unable to articulate specific details about her campaign promises or how she would achieve them, Harris deals exclusively with generalities, happy talk and distractions.

In a recent Univision “town hall” appearance, Kamala responded to an “undecided Latino voter’s” question concerning the administration’s response to the killer storms affecting the southeast:

“Leadership is about understanding the importance of lifting people up, understanding that the character of our country is such that we are a people who have ambitions and aspirations, dreams, goals for ourselves and our families, and are entitled to have a leader who then invests in that. … The two visions [for our country], simply put, are that one is about the future, and the other is about the past and taking us backward. And I do believe that the American people are ambitious and aspirational about an investment in the future in a way that we are optimistic while being clear-eyed.”

Huh?

The Univision event was a sham. The “undecided Latino voters” were Kamala supporters flown in at Univision’s expense or recruited by a “fan” casting company. Rather than answering questions, Kamala blathered about “ambitions,” “aspirations,” “dreams,” “goals,” and an “opportunity economy.”

If Harris isn’t smart enough to even appear genuine in tightly controlled settings, how can she possibly function under the pressures of the presidency?

That, alone, provides ample evidence of her unsuitability

But, there’s more …

The Harris campaign theme, “A New Way Forward,” implies that she’s somehow different from the administration of which, according to Joe Biden, she’s been an integral part.

Frankly, there’s a lot from which any ambitious candidate would want to “differentiate.”

According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll, 74 percent of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, would prefer that Harris take a different direction if elected than the policies of the Biden administration.

In fact, the Trump campaign clearly thinks their most effective line of attack is to tie Kamala to Biden/Harris failures, that a Harris presidency would mean more of their unpopular status quo.

Nonetheless, during a recent appearance on “The View,” when asked if there was anything she would have done differently over the last four years, Kamala replied, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.”

Then, during a phony “just regular folks,” beer-sipping appearance with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Kamala fielded a similar question. Her response? “Well, I mean, I’m obviously not Joe Biden” (duh…!) and offered no clear policy differences.

Appearing on CNN, former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign, was asked to explain what makes Kamala’s policies different from Biden’s. He, too, had no answer.

Landrieu: “Well, first of all, whatever the difference is between them, it’s not nearly as vast as the difference between her and Donald Trump.” And, “She’s obviously a woman. She is a woman of color, and she is of a new generation.”

Finally, Landrieu admitted, “But she was and is part of the Biden administration…”

Later, in an embarrassing, abbreviated Fox News interview that Harris requested, Kamala affected a “#BossGirl” persona, bullied the moderator, filibustered, whined, evaded and deflected in response to legitimate questions concerning the open border, illegal alien crimes, “wrong way” polling, and Joe Biden’s mental decline.

Substance matters. Like the rest of her campaign, Kamala’s interview performance contained none.

Of course, Harris didn’t mean herself when she said, “You got to take responsibility for what happened in your administration,” but let’s pretend she did – and review:

Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, our military leadership has gone “woke,” American foreign policy is in shambles, our allies distrust us, our enemies don’t fear us, and the world is a far more dangerous place.

At home, the inflated costs of food, housing, and energy overwhelmed middle-class budgets; the national debt skyrocketed; the American dollar lost standing; racial tensions increased; millions of illegal immigrants, including criminals, traffickers and terror watch list suspects, poured across America’s open borders; public health and safety suffered; crime soared; federal agencies were politicized; the strategic oil reserve was depleted; civic and national pride has declined …

…and Kamala’s mouth is writing Donald Trump’s campaign ads.
