The Israeli army announced, on Tuesday, that it had bombed the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, which is considered a stronghold of Hezbollah.
Two Lebanese security sources said the Israeli airstrike targeted a Hezbollah leader, but his fate was not yet clear.
A source who preferred to remain anonymous said, “The Israeli raid targeted two floors of a building in the Ghobeiry area” in the southern suburb.
The Israeli Army Radio announced that the target was the head of Hezbollah’s missile system, Ibrahim Qubaisi.
